Families are surviving in the shadows of conflict, facing acute food insecurity and a collapsed healthcare system.

Two months into the renewed conflict in Lebanon, the humanitarian crisis is deepening at an alarming pace. Nearly 1.3 million people around one in six of the population have been displaced, with hundreds of thousands of families still living without safety, stability, or adequate shelter.

Serious violations of international humanitarian law continue to be reported, including attacks on civilians, healthcare workers, first responders, and journalists. Since the escalation began on 2 March, more than 2,500 people have been killed and over 7,800 injured.

The impact on healthcare has been devastating: 147 attacks on health facilities have been recorded, causing deaths and injuries among medical staff, while hospitals and primary healthcare centres remain closed. Damaged roads, bridges, and infrastructure continue to isolate communities from lifesaving aid and essential services.

Already facing years of economic crisis and political instability, Lebanon is now confronting a worsening humanitarian emergency. Displaced families are surviving in overcrowded shelters, cars, and temporary arrangements, with growing shortages of food and basic supplies. Nearly a quarter of the population is projected to face acute food insecurity in the coming months.

While families struggle to survive in the shadows of conflict, UKC4C is providing essential food and dignity to those most in need.

Food security shouldn’t be a luxury, yet for thousands of displaced families in Lebanon, it has become one. Over the past month, we’ve seen the crisis escalate with heart-breaking speed. With thousands living in shelters and essential infrastructure struggling, access to basic nutrition has become the most urgent need. At UKC4C, we are working tirelessly on the ground to bridge this gap. Our latest distributions are reaching families who have lost everything, providing the essential food parcels needed to sustain them during these incredibly testing times.
