Lebanon Emergency Appeal 2026
The Crisis Today
Lebanon is currently facing its most severe humanitarian crisis since the 1975-90 civil war. Following a re-eruption of full-scale conflict, the situation has rapidly surpassed all previous escalations in scale and intensity. Read more about The Children of the Third Wave.
For the refugee children and families we serve, the reality is devastating:
- Mass Displacement: Over 1.1 million people, approximately one in five of Lebanon’s entire population, have been forced to flee their homes.
- Children at Risk: More than 300,000 children are now displaced, many for the third or fourth time as they search for safety.
- Heavy Toll: Tragically, over 130 children have been killed and more than 429 wounded since the escalation began.
- Food & Health Crisis: 961,000 people were already facing acute food insecurity before this latest escalation. Now, with 92 verified attacks on healthcare facilities and five hospitals closed, the systems families rely on for survival are in a state of compounding collapse

How You Can Help

Displaced and Re-Displaced: The Heavy Price Lebanon’s Children are Paying
For many children in Lebanon, the current escalation isn’t their first experience with war: it is their third or fourth. Since March, the scale of displacement has exceeded previous peaks within just days, leaving thousands of families with nowhere to go.
In areas like El Nabatieh, families are returning to find their homes burned and livelihoods destroyed, only to be ordered to evacuate again. Over 300,000 children are currently displaced, facing the double threat of active conflict and a collapsing food system. With no confirmed funding for some refugee food assistance beyond April 2026, the most vulnerable children are at risk of being left with nothing.
We are focusing our efforts on providing the basics: clean water, hot meals, and essential kits for newborns. But we cannot do it alone. The humanitarian response is severely underfunded, and every hour matters.
