World Children’s Day: Support refugees with Child Sponsorship

On World Children’s Day, we highlight the impact of our Child Sponsorship Programme, supporting over 2,000 children annually in Lebanon and Jordan’s refugee camps.

More than 60% of Palestinian refugees residing in Lebanon and Jordan are facing life below the poverty line.

The rising refugee population in these regions has strained both countries, exacerbating pre-existing social and economic challenges including high unemployment and unstable economies. Within the overcrowded and precarious living conditions in camps, Palestinian and Syrian refugees encounter significant hurdles in accessing essential services, while their families struggle to fulfil basic needs. This strain has been compounded by the arrival of approximately 3 million refugees escaping the Syrian war.

Through our Child Sponsorship Programme, we provide crucial financial assistance during ongoing displacement. This support enables families to secure necessities such as food, clean water, and addresses larger expenses like rent and medical care.

Your support can be the cornerstone of change, offering hope and opportunity to those navigating the toughest of circumstances.
